Máy kiểm tra này được sử dụng để đo độ sáng (Độ sáng ISO, độ trắng R457), độ tẩy sáng huỳnh quang, độ trong suốt, độ mờ, hệ số tán xạ ánh sáng và hệ số hấp thụ của giấy. Nó được sử dụng rộng rãi trong ngành sản xuất giấy, dệt may, in ấn, nhựa, gốm sứ, men, thực phẩm, vật liệu xây dựng, sơn, hóa chất, muối và các ngành công nghiệp đặc biệt cần đo độ trắng trong quá trình sản xuất và kiểm tra.
