Máy kiểm tra độ lõm BGD 510 Buchholz là phương pháp kiểm tra đáng tin cậy để đánh giá khả năng chống lõm của lớp phủ biến dạng dẻo. Đĩa vát có cạnh sắc được áp vào bề mặt thử nghiệm dưới lực 500g không đổi. Tải thử nghiệm được cung cấp bởi giá đỡ khối thép. Vết để lại sau 30 giây. Tải được đo bằng kính hiển vi chiếu sáng có độ phóng đại 20X. Chiều dài của vết lõm tỷ lệ nghịch với độ cứng.
